I love going to church but sitting upright in a pew for over an hour is really challenging. As I sit still, I begin to feel lightheaded, like the world is spinning around me. Then I start getting nauseous. My heart starts beating quickly and I begin to sweat and get shaky. What started off as being something really enjoyable becomes a painful task - where all I can focus on is wondering when it will end so I can go lie down again???
I prefer sitting on the floor over a chair or pew any day.
Despite these adaptations, I was still really dizzy, light headed, nauseous, etc. for the rest of the day. I needed a short nap in the car before we could quickly pick up a prescription and milk on the way home.
I'm excited I discovered that sitting in the foyer helps so much! I'm looking forward to being able to attend church more regularly in the future.
