I have a piano theory exam this afternoon so yesterday I went to the hospital (ambulatory care) and got a saline IV. Saline IVs temporarily increase blood volume, which is effective in treating POTS. Many people with POTS have hypovolemia (low blood volume). It took an hour to get in and then an hour to have the saline IV (1 litre over 1 hour), but hopefully it will be worth it! I feel pretty good today so hopefully I wont feel too sick during my 2 hour written exam.

This is so interesting Lisa! And I'm glad there's something you can do to feel better, even if it's a short-term thing. I hope your exam goes (or went) well!! Cheryl
