Last week I got to spend 3 days at a cabin on Bowen Island with my parents. It was very relaxing. We even swam in the ocean twice, despite it being pretty cold. Archie came with me and had a blast, but on the last day his ear infection got bad again. He's not doing so well now. In addition to his ear problems and infection (which has been going on for several months now), his eyes have been infected for a month and antibiotics aren't helping, he no longer makes enough tears and needs eye drops 4x a day, and his knee that has luxating patella (knee cap moves or dislocates) has been hurting him, causing him to limp and waddle.

HealthI'm still a bit dizzier than usual but the cooler weather today is helpful. I saw an ophthalmologist yesterday. He checked my eye floaters (I've had a floater since I was a kid but lately I've been developing new ones). He said my eyes still look healthy and my vision is still 20/20. The floaters aren't anything serious, and that I'll probably just keep developing new ones over time. He also referred me to a neuro-ophthalmologist for my eye tracking problems. I'm also waiting to see and ENT specialist for dizziness and am still waiting to hear back from the Calgary POTS specialist - Dr. Raj. CrochetMy newest hobby has been so much fun. I love crocheting. Here are some pictures. ArchieFor months now Archie has been struggling with an ear infection that wont go away. It's recently gotten bad again. The vet says he needs a $4500 surgery, but we can't afford that and Archie is an older dog. We've been mentally preparing ourselves in case we're faced with a tough decision in the near future.
I wasn't feeling well for the past 2 weeks or so. At first it was because I was adjusting to new medication. However the new medication made me feel a lot worse, even after we tried different doses and combinations. In the end we just went back to my original medication. After that I caught a virus, which caused me to spend several days in bed and to miss spending the weekend at our friend's cabin. But I'm happy that I'm finally feeling more like myself now. While I was resting in bed, I learned how to crochet and started working on a blanket. Archie can be a pain because he loves lying on the blanket and getting wrapped around the yarn. I've also been growing strawberries on our balcony. They taste delicious but they grow in very strange shapes. Happy Canada Day!
