Sarah and Catherine have much more severe gastroparesis. Catherine has a feeding tube, as well as a central line which pumps nutrients into her veins.
I've been able to hang out with my friends Sarah and Catherine, who also have POTS and gastroparesis. We sit in my basement and crochet together. When one of us starts to feel tired or sick, we just take a short rest. Here are some of my latest crochet creatures. I've really been enjoying making monster hats. Gastroparesis Awareness Month August is also gastroparesis awareness month. Gastroparesis means the paralysis to your upper digestive tract. My gastroparesis is currently well managed. If I'm careful I can eat almost normally now. I just have to eat smaller meals and avoid things like too much fat or fibre. Any sort of stress, excitement, or sickness will also cause my gastroparesis to flare up.
